Time to Spruce up your Backyard
Now that the weather is getting warmer and we have all been cooped up in our house, it's time to get out of the house and tend to your outdoor living space. You can easily make your backyard a fun area of the house for the whole family to enjoy.
Start by cleaning your deck, patio and outdoor furniture. If your deck is looking dingy, give it a facelift by investing in power washing and staining. Repair or replace worn patio stones or concrete. Make sure your patio cushions are clean and in good condition. Updating your backyard not only makes it more enjoyable for the family but is a good investment if you ever consider selling your home.
Invest in planters to place strategically around your patio with a variety of seasonal plants and flowers. Hang fun outdoor lights, look for different colors or patterns to suit your tastes. Plant a vegetable or herb garden. Have the kids help pick out the vegetables and tend to the garden - you never know, it may get them to actually eat their vegetables!
